About Serge Small

Graduated from the School of Visual Arts. BFA in photography. Had amazing teachers who taught me how to see and not just look.

I have a 1972 Porsche 911 named Daisy. Driving to new destinations gives me a thrill that is only matched by driving Daisy on the track. Once I arrive at my destination, she is my only means of transportation.

The openness of the West, the big sky and colors are rarely matched on the East Coast, but I take photos almost every day here in Philadelphia.

The photos in this exhibit are shown in pairs, thus the name East Coast - West Coast. The photos are evenly divided between the two coasts. Eventually, the middle of the country will start to appear.

Why Our Salon is Also an Art Gallery

At the Lion's Mane we love to support local artists. Through the years we have discovered how lucky we are to have such a deep and wide array of talented artists in our midst. So, we thought... why not every few months adorn our walls with their works of art and make the salon a gallery for your enjoyment. And, If you just have to have what you see, most of the pieces displayed are available for purchase from the artist, through us, during the time the show is up.
