MARKUS

Markus Aman born in Germany has been cutting, coloring and styling hair for over 30 years. His dedication to hair is shown by his attention to detail, and through his commitment to keeping up with latest techniques, products and trends.

He finds color correction an exciting challenge, is expert on special effects coloring and has a way with curly hair. Have Markus help you find a fun updo for your next special occasion. He offers full service for men to include beard and eyebrow trimming.

Styling weddings is one of his specialties. He closely works with the client from start to finish to insure a perfect hairstyle for the big day. Markus' wedding services include salon consultations, pre-event hair styling and on-site day of event services for both the bride and the bridal party.

Markus opened  Christopher Markus The Lion's Mane in June 2003.

Teeny

Teeny, a South Philadelphia native, has over 30 years of experience, cutting, highlighting and styling hair. She has a dedicated and loyal following. Many of her clients have been with her so many years she considers them her friends. Teeny is patient and she loves to give full service to her clients.

Although she can do a style in a matter of minutes, She enjoys taking her time to find just the right look. Whether it's highlights or lowlights, color or a new style, Teeny can accommodate. And, she can finish off your cut with a fabulous blowout. In addition to hair services for both men and women, she also does eyebrow and lip waxing.

A long-time stylist, Teeny enjoys working at a salon where she feels there is an atmosphere that understands and respects the balance of life. She appreciates that Markus encourages the sharing of knowledge and skills that each stylist brings with them and learns in their own work, and that the client always comes first.

Lauren

Born in Philadelphia, Lauren has been styling hair for 10 years. Her love of traveling led her to Brooklyn, New York where she stayed and worked for a year.

Skilled in color, cuts, and curls, her forte is curls. No curl is too limp or frizzy for her special powers. She will help you embrace, and own, your natural curls.

She also likes to focus on clients' lifestyles to customize their own personal look, and at the same time, boost their confidence. Her clients take away an easy-to-do hairstyle that they can keep up at home.

Lauren is also a stylist and client educator for EVO, an Australian eco-friendly, gluten-free, and vegan product line. She can customize conditioners and styling products for the client to maintain healthy, strong hair.

She is happy to be back in Philadelphia, living in the city, and working at the Lion's Mane..

 CHRISTOPHER

We are happy to announce that Christopher has begun a new and exciting chapter in his life, where at the same time, it is a bitter-sweet moment for us at the Lion's Mane.

Christopher has relocated to St. Louis with his new husband where they have set up a new household and new career opportunities. We wish him all the best, ... and we really are going to miss him.

Christopher Kempisty, a Philadelphia native, has been cutting, coloring, and styling hair since 2000. Before leaving for St. Louis, he was co-owner of Christopher Markus The Lion's Mane, which was opened in June 2003 with his business partner, Markus Aman. Their professional relationship began several years prior to the opening.

Christopher knows just what to do with unruly curls, can give the perfect highlights, and can perform color correction. He is great at helping clients abandon their inhibitions with special effects coloring, and can recommend the best styling products to keep their color vibrant. Christopher knows product. He closely follows coloring and other styling products, and is up to date on how to use them.

He is always open to new ways of honing his skills whether by sharing his ideas with colleagues or by staying current through presentations on new styling techniques. In addition to women's services, Christopher also can offer men's cutting and styling services, to include eyebrow and beard trimming.
